Pizzafest: Good Pizza For a Good Cause

We have been busy planning our 4^th Annual Pizzafest! A celebration of pizza and the passionate people who love to make it! This year, the event will take place on Saturday, October 14^th at Pizzacraft HQ, beautiful Berkeley, California. Tickets are now on sale. 

Every year the event grows with more pizzas being made fresh by more cook-off teams and more attendees coming and leaving with happy, pizza-filled bellies. This year, we are expecting 800 people to attend and try slices from over 1,000 piping hot and fresh, homemade pizzas.

Our thirteen cook-off teams are developing unique recipes to compete for the chance to win the coveted “People’s Choice, Best Pizza” award. Pizzas are prepped and cooked on-site in Pizzeria Pronto Outdoor Pizza Ovens. Each team is provided THREE Prontos, which can reach a temperature of 700°F and can cook a pizza in only 5 minutes. You can do the math, but that is a lot of pizza!

Oh, and it’s all-you-can-eat for only $20!

Local favorites, Lagunitas Brewing Company and Gilman Brewing Company will be slinging beer for those 21 and up, and a kid’s craft table and game area are available for those 5 and up!

All this good pizza, beer, and fun are also for a good cause; $10,000 will be raised and donated to Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS). This local non-profit organization assists the homeless, poor, and disabled in the Bay Area helping them with life skills and support so they can become self-sufficient! We have supported this organization every year since Pizzafest began in 2014.
